- A query for the wisdom of the net...
-
- I'm looking for an application framework/class library/function
- library that allows application designers to design towards a GUI
- platform but still support character terminals. Obviously, there
- isn't a complete one-to-one mapping of GUI functionality to terminal
- functionality, but I'd like to come close.
-
- The background of this request is that our application must initially
- run on character terminals, but ultimately on workstations. I'd like
- to be able to base most of the design on the workstation target.
-
- I'm interested in both C++ and C information, and our environment is
- Unix, terminals and X Windows.
-
- PS. I'm not concerned about having to relink or even slightly modify
- the application to make the terminal-to-GUI transition. I just want
- to come close.
-
- PPS. Commercial or free/shareware is fine.
-
- I'll summarize if requested. Sorry if this is a FAQ.
-
- Thanks,
- Marc
