- I know this has come up before, but, naturally, I didn't pay attention
- then...
-
- I am trying to piece together imake for our DG Aviions, running DG/UX
- 5.4.1, X11R4, and GNU cpp version 1.96. Things seem to work pretty
- well, but occasionally I get a preprocessor error which says, for
- example:
-
- xxx.tmpl:40: invalid preprocessor directive name
-
- This always occurs on a comment line, preceded by the /**/# construct.
- However, it does not happen with all comments.
-
- Why does this happen with some comments? Is there a cpp switch I can
- use to correct this?
-
- I have been able to get around it by using the XCOMM define from
- X11R5, but several times other users have come to me after a make has
- exploded, and it always involves a package whose Imakefile #included
- template files local to the package. I have told them to replace
- /**/# with XCOMM, but it would be nice to find a way to build these
- packages without changes.
-
- Any help would be appreciated.
-
- Also, if anyone has a config file for DG/UX 5.4, I would like to see
- it.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Bud
