  13. I know this has come up before, but, naturally, I didn't pay attention
  14. then...

  16. I am trying to piece together imake for our DG Aviions, running DG/UX
  17. 5.4.1, X11R4, and GNU cpp version 1.96.  Things seem to work pretty
  18. well, but occasionally I get a preprocessor error which says, for
  19. example:

  21.     xxx.tmpl:40: invalid preprocessor directive name
  22.  
  23. This always occurs on a comment line, preceded by the /**/# construct.
  24. However, it does not happen with all comments.

  26. Why does this happen with some comments?  Is there a cpp switch I can
  27. use to correct this?

  29. I have been able to get around it by using the XCOMM define from
  30. X11R5, but several times other users have come to me after a make has
  31. exploded, and it always involves a package whose Imakefile #included
  32. template files local to the package.  I have told them to replace
  33. /**/# with XCOMM, but it would be nice to find a way to build these
  34. packages without changes.

  36. Any help would be appreciated.

  38. Also, if anyone has a config file for DG/UX 5.4, I would like to see
  39. it.
