- Hi-
- I'm building an X client with the OLIT v3 that comes with Sun's OpenWindows
- v3 on a SPARC (SunOS 4.1.1) system. When it runs in an OpenWindows v2 (along
- with its olwm) environment, I don't get any window decorations. I assume this
- is related to the warnings in my <Xol/OlClients.h> include file about
- "OlWinAttr and the _OL_WIN_ATTR property". I'm trying to decipher what the
- comments in there say about this topic, but I'm not really that familiar with
- what is going on here.
- I just noticed mention of the UseShortOLWinAttr resource, and specifying
- that does give me the header and other decorations. What do I lose by doing
- that? (i.e. do I lose any window features by not having those 'flag' and
- 'cancel' fields in OlWinAttr?) Does operation under the newer olwm suffer when
- that resource is set to True?
- Should I specify a _OL_DECOR_ADD atom to include things like
- _OL_DECOR_HEADER, _OL_DECOR_RESIZE, etc? What would be the appropriate way to
- do that?
-
- So, my question is..."Is there an appropriate way to use the same OLIT v3
- based client with the olwm's from both OpenWindows v2 and OpenWindows v3?"
-
- Thanx,
