  14. 1)    The version which Sun ships as part of OpenWindows 3.0
  15.  
  16. 2)      The version which can be built from sources and patches
  17.     available under:

  19.         export.lcs.mit.edu:contrib/xview3
  20.  
  21. Building programs like 'olvwm' and 'xdtm' with the 'libxview.a' sources
  22. from 'export' certainly has advantages since I can debug problems
  23. myself.  However, I am more interested in which version will give me
  24. the least amount of trouble.

  26. I have no control (or idea) how OpenWindows is obtained or maintained
  27. at my site.  So if Sun has sent out revisions on OpenWindows, I have no
  28. idea if they have been installed at my site.  (Hmm... Maybe for that
  29. reason alone I should use the 'export' sources).
