- Well if everyone is happy, why not continue with the old system.

-
- You mean like - it's slow, take too many keystrokes, etc. A lot will
- depend on what you need from a word-processor.
-
- I have two different places running it. One is in a business
- environment and they are using it and getting work done.
-
- The other is in an education environment and all the terminal users
- complain 'it's not like my PC at home'. So all the terminals are being
- yanked and PC's will replace them and probably use ICE10 as the
- terminal program. I prefer terminals when you need a terminal
- program as they usually are faster.

-
- If you use Unixplex you will find that Lyrix is similar.. They are
- both decendants of Lex - from Ace Microsystems in England. Similar
- commands - I can't see going to Lyrix or Lex from Uniplex. They are all
- similar.

-
- Well - if you are not in a hurry - wait a couple of months. I saw Word
- Perfect 5.1 running on SCO ODT. For the FIRST time I was impressed
- with WP. It was running on the console, so I don't know how good it
- would be on X terminal. The little monochrome Qume's X terminals
- looked good - and they are only about $150 more than a character based
- terminal. I was impressed. The audience applauded the demo. And it
- was not quite beta software. Release is sometime this fall.
-
- I was told (second hand info here) that it runs just like WP for
- Windows under DOS. Grab the mouse, move the margins, click, done!
- The WP rep demoing this made some remark about getting back to their
- multi-user root after getting the DOS Windows version running.
