  13.   We recently had a rather odd thing happen to us using
  14. PacerShare and Ultrix 4.2  Our environment uses Mac's to do
  15. Cad work in conjunction with Intergraph workstations and an Ultrix
  16. Decstation 5000 file server.  The file server runs Pacer-share to
  17. give file sharing/access to Mac's. The Mac's run Intergraph's
  18. Microstation software and are all system 7 boxes.
  19. Just to mix things up a bit, some of the workstations are also
  20. IBM PC's running microstation and PC-NFS from sSun to access files on
  21. the server.
  22.   We have a design file that was created by one of the PC's on a
  23. directory in the server.  If you observe it from the PC it's fine.
  24. If you click it open from a MAC, the design file is corrupted.
  25. Design elements moved, lines drawn in the wrong place and so on.
  26. If we take the design file and use FTP to tr ansfer it to a
  27. VAX/VMS box running Pathworks/Mac, and click it open, then it looks
  28. ok.  If we ftp the file from the fileserver to the MAC
  29. then it's Ok.
  30.   This is 100% repeatable.
  31.   SO the question. Are there known pacer problems that cause this?
  32. Is pacer a piece of junk as I'm beginning to fear?  Doeas anyone
  33. have suggestions?`
