  12. I have four questions regarding DXsession. I have rtfm'd to no avail.
  13. If these are naive questions, well, I've only been working with Ultrix
  14. a few months.

  16. 1. I have some users who should only be permitted to run a particular
  17. program. Normally I would replace the shell program in /etc/passwd
  18. with the permitted program. Unfortunately, after logging in through
  19. the dxprompter, "something" apparently happens (no error or warning
  20. message) and I am immediately returned to the login prompter. If I su
  21. to the user from another account, everything works as planned, but
  22. obviously that's not going to work.

  24. 2. With every other workstation I've ever used, I could kill the
  25. Xserver and work at a naked tty interface if I wanted to. So far I
  26. have found no way, either in the manuals or through random keystrokes,
  27. of doing this under Ultrix.

  29. 3. Can I run X on Ultrix without dxsession? I find the whole thing
  30. annoying.

  32. 4. Can anyone point me to a usable replacement for dxdb?
