  14. In my UHC SVR4.0.3.6, ttymon for the uucp port occasionally drops
  15. data terminal ready.  It can only be turned back on by disabling,
  16. then re-enabling ttymon.  cu works normally, so it's not the device driver.
  17. /var/saf/_log shows no errors.

  19. I think it may be related to dropped carriers, other incompleted
  20. uucp transactions, perhaps a limit is exceeded.  My respawn limit is 50,
  21. but there is no evidence of the process dying or being spawned multiple
  22. times.

  24. If you have a fix, please let me know.  The current workaround it to have
  25. cron disable and enable it every hour if there are no lock files.

  27. Another ttymon question:  Is there a way to increase the time
  28. ttymon or uucp pulses data terminal ready off at the completion of
  29. a uucp transaction?  I think it's happening too fast for my Worldblazer
  30. to see, as it sometimes locks up and won't answer.
