- This is a problem that has been much discussed with folks from Europe who
- would 'love' to have just a little of the support we get on this side of the
- ocean and constantly bitch about. Apparently the distributor setup in Europe
- is very similar to the distributors in the US in that the support is not all
- that it should be. But here we have the secondary VAR/APC channel that also
- sells and supports customers.

- The kind of thing as reported above is really not supportable by distributors
- as they are not developers. At the C level it's only other developers or SCO
- direct that can help or verify a problem. As far as I know, not even SCO has
- control over the compiler because that is a MS product.

- You can not expect a distributor to also be your educator. The best bet is to
- network with other developers, use the net or hire somebody who knows what
- he's doing and doesn't require support. Switching distributors among the above
- vendors probably won't help.
