- I wonder if it is the same release that Dell has been shipping?
-
- When it comes up it says "DOS Merge Version 2.2
- Copyright 1990, 1991, 1992 Locus Computing"
-
- I must say from using Dell that having the ability to run DOS
- programs under Unix at times has been real handy -- even though
- I have another machine sitting here (which gets turned on maybe
- once a month). I have a couple of users who bring up Merge via
- dialup lines to do "whatever" -- I never asked them exactly what
- they do -- and as long as they don't screw anything up, quite
- frankly I don't care.
-
- I think ESIX could win more sales if they bundled their OS with
- Merge, but then they would have to increase the price -- and they
- would be close to what Dell offers (in price)...
-
- Now, ESIX is sold on price.
