- The 3C503 is an 8 bit card but the 3C503/16 is 16 bit and cheaper.
- I have used the 3C503 cards and now own several of the 3C503/16 cards and
- use them in several machines under ISC and PC/TCP. They are great cards
- and come with a lifetime warranty.

- I am not sure about the performance issues (I believe the sofware
- driving the cards influences the performance more than the hardware). I
- do know that 3Com promotes their cards as extremely fast, i.e. the 3C503/16
- as being faster than other's 32bit EISA cards.
