  13. I am interested in getting an X11R5 up and running on my 386/387 system.

  15. Any advice is sought, regarding:

  17. 1.   Whose unix do I use.
  18. 2.   How did you get your X11R5 up (compiling from sources, downloading
  19.      binaries, etc).
  20. 3.   Can I get an X server for an ET4000, preferably in 800x600x32K mode,
  21.      or for a more recent board (perhaps one that will do 800x600x2^24).
  22.      I want to stick to 800x600 so I don't have to upgrade my monitor,
  23.      or my eyes, but I want more than 8 bit planes.
  24. 4.   I want to use SCSI drives, what controller will give me least problems
  25.      under (1).

  27. Preferably I want to use XView.
