- I'm having a keyboard problem under SCO Unix 4.0. Occasionally, the system
- starts to act as though the control key was stuck, or something. If I bang
- on my <Control> keys, it gets straightened out. Some other details...
-
- * It happens with three different brands of keyboards, on two different
- computers.
- * It didn't happen under the Interactive Unix which I was using before.
- * Both computers are using AMR UnTerminals -- a "remote console" product.
- * The keyboards have gotten stuck at real console and also at UnTerminals.
- * The chance of a particular keyboard getting stuck seems to be independent
- of the activity of other keyboards.
- * The busier a keyboard is, the more likely it is to get stuck.
- * The console keyboard got stuck once (at least) when all of the UnTerminals
- were idle.
- * Under average use, a given keyboard will get stuck about once a week. This
- makes it a daily occurence when you have 6 UnTerminals plus the console.
-
- Does this sound familiar? If so, what did you do about?
