- But ESIX isn't as tweaked and tested as Dell (as the net has heard from
- users recently) -- don't get me wrong, ESIX is fine for a machine at home
- to play around with --- but for serious development and support --?

- ESIX doesn't return phone calls (or didn't for us), and required our Fed-Ex
- number in order to mail us replacement media and bug fixes (the places
- I've done business with don't charge shipping for bug fixes)
-
- ESIX doesn't (or didn't) include DOS support under UNIX either

- but you have to hunt around and get this and that to make a complete package,
- where as Dell is just about sole source -- comes complete and ready to run
- gcc, emacs, news, nntp, elm, etc right out of the box --
-
- and ethernet installation (ie: loading machines via network) makes installation
- on multiple machines a piece of cake!
