- Hi,
-
- Because of the system upgrade, I have to reinstall the Sybase 4.0 to
- another 486-33 under SCO UNIX 3.2.2.
-
- The distribution set of Sybase is a set of 1.44 MB diskettes. According
- to the installation guide, I need to use "installpkg" to start the
- installation. I tried it. However, it failed because some kind error
- when accessing the drives.
-
- Well, I found the flollowing description in the installation guide of
- the software of Colorado tape drive - "SCO UNIX users: If drive 0 is a
- 3.5 inch, 1.44 Mbyte diskette, type /usr/lbin/Install.sh /dev/dsk/f0q18d 0
- and press enter." I followed it to install the backup software of the
- tape drive successfully. However, the same error still occurred.
-
- Because I am new to administrate the UNIX system, I do not know how or
- where I can find the solution for this problem.
-
- Any suggestions are apprepricated.
-
- Thanks in advance.
