  12. You may also want to check to make sure that you have some free virtual
  13. terminals.  X takes the first available virtual terminal and if you have eight 
  14. running through getty's (or is it 12?), then X will find no screen to open.
  15. The device names are "vt00" through "vt07" (or "vt11").
