- I have just installed TCP/IP v1.3 on two ISC v3.0 machines: 'aegis'
- is on a Dell 386 33MHZ, 'ira' is on a TechPower 486 33MHz. Both are
- running Sureman NE-13 (system says they are WD013EBT when it boots)
- and thin Ethernet. In addition, NFS v2.2 is installed.
-
- rlogin, ftp, telnet, rsh and file systems mounted with NFS are OK.
- But rcp only works maybe once or twice when ira gives up (usually
- when copying a file > 100K, only part of it is copied). The rcp
- process hangs (on either machine) and I can't get anything back from
- 'ping ira' on ira. Rebooting ira lets it run until I do another
- couple of rcp's.
-
- The boards have been switched between the machines (both run the
- same strap/DIP settings) and it does the same thing, it's always ira
- that ceases to work.
-
- Thanks in advance for whatever help/ideas you can give me,
-
- Dave
