  14. I have compiled a reasonable sized library (getting on for 2Mb) and ld/ar
  15. just cant cope with the size of the external-symbol table.  Hard coded
  16. limits (by the look of it) ... I would rat about SCO, but this seems about
  17. par for the course for them.

  19. I got a copy of GNU binutils-1.94-beta (I configured it for i386-sco-sysv)
  20. and it compiles wonderfully (using gcc-2.2.2) ... seems to be a fine
  21. replacement except that the linker it creates accepts i386 object files and
  22. tries to produce 68020 executables from them.

  24. Is there anyone out there who has compiled binutils-1.94-beta on SCO ODT,
  25. who could tell me how I have erred in configuring the package ?
