- I often use 'cu' or 'pcomm' to dial out, and then want to transfer a
- file, so I start kermit remotely and put it in server mode, escape to a
- subshell, and fire up ckermit(4E).
-
- If I try to 'get' a file, it say I must 'set line' first, but if I try to
- 'set line', it says the line is in use and I must remove the lock file
- to continue. If I set line to /dev/tty, it doesn't seem to do anything
- but hang there. I even tried the send/receive pair /dev/tty with no
- luck. I am runing AT&T 386 SVr3.1 with a Hayes external modem.
-
- I can't figure out how to do this. One suggestion in the documentation
- was to set up a second link to the modem device, and 'set line' to that,
- but that seems extreme. Also, under SVr4, the locks are under the
- major,minor numbers, to such a scheme wouldn't work.
-
- Suggestions?
