- We've been experiencing a problem running gdb inside emacs (on a Sun 4).
- Occasionally someone's target program gets a bus error or segmentation
- violation. If they accidently "continue" gdb, instead of restarting
- the program, the ethernet lights up solid with what appear to be
- continuous NFS requests, and all attached X-terminals become totally
- unresponsive. So far rebooting has been the only fix.
-
- Configuration is SunOS 4.1.2, emacs 18.58.1, gdb 4.6. Emacs is run on
- an X-terminal logged into workstation A, directory with the target
- being debugged and source code is NFS mounted from workstation B (also
- a Sun 4). If it's at all relevant, the debugged target makes some
- minimal use of the Sun lightweight processes library (switching
- between threads, but only one thread ever runs at a time).
-
- Any ideas?
