  14. UPS (uninterruptable power supply) connected to unix workstation?

  16. That is, a software deamon or a process which checks the serial
  17. port once a while for CTS and other signals? Those signals are
  18. used by the UPS to tell the computer about power failure and
  19. power is up again.
