  23.     Most polished product is PC/TCP from ftp software. Version 2.1 just
  24.     released - so probably buggy, but it does feature unloadable stack,
  25.     and last I heard they were working real hard to get the normal kernel
  26.     (c.70-100k) shoehorned into expanded memory as well as high loaded.

  31. If there isn't an LIM 4.0 EMS driver present, 2.1's kernel TSRs with slightly
  32. less memory than 2.05 did.  If there is, it only requires ~25Kb (depending on
  33. the kernel and number of TCPs) of DOS memory.  2.1's IDRIVE.EXE (the NFS
  34. client/redirector) doesn't use EMS, and only uses 28Kb of DOS memory, so the
  35. total cost is ~55 Kb with EMS, and ~100 without.

  37. The kernel and IDRIVE were unloadable in previous releases, but now NETBIOS
  38. and SNMPD unload too.  We've worked on print redirection quite a bit for 2.1,
  39. particularly Windows support, but I can't guarantee you'll like the result
  40. (supporting use of RSH or whatever against a SysV doesn't come without a
  41. cost).  You'll see more improvement in this winter's release.
