- I had solved it in the same way. The reasons are due to the problems with
- the swap device which should be at b partition.

- : You are aware that this is a catch-22, if you have no space to unpack the
- : bindist files on another UNIX system, aren't you? The man page is in bindist,
- : but you have only readable man pages when you succeeded in installing them
- : on the disk. Just to mention...
- : There should be some "hacker's guide" at least on the fixit disk,
- : for all those who haven't started with 386bsd-0.0. (or aren't real *NIX wizards,
- Installing hard-disks will always be difficult, at least I always have this
- problem even when using MSDOS. You just cannot install hard-disks if you
- do not have any idea of the harddisk organization. This information should be
- supplied with the hard-disk.
- : but it is worth a discussion whether 386bsd is for the occasional computer
- : user at all for the moment).
- The install program is brilliant and is good for the novice but any computer
- user must learn how to write programs. The exeception may be Macs but Mac is
- only one type of computer so hardware inconsistencies does not exist.
- If they do not want to learn then go for Mac and pay for the price and
- performance drop, doing trivial things like writing letters.
