- yup, 0.0 dist.fs boots fine, but you can not build a boot
- track for floppy from 0.0, nor can you boot 0.1 dist.fs at all.
- You are not alone. something weird about compaqs, i have heard about
- this from 486, 386, everybody with one of those !@#$#@$! compaqs.
- There is one guy i have heard from, who has many compaqs, and precisely
- one of these machines will boot 0.1! it is in no known way different.

- for what it is worth, bsdi stuff will boot on a compaq, according
- to bsdi, and this has been tested by no less than COMPAQ itself.
- I don't have the time to fool with these machines so am
- going to drop a kbuck on bsdi and stop beating my head against the wall.
