- I have a question about how to use bad144. I have a MFM drive that has
- flagged bad sectors. Using a dos utility to do a defect scan, it reports
- errors it finds in the format:
-
- Cyl 22, Head 3, Sector 1, Num sectors 26
- Cyl 150, Head 5, Sector 1, Num sectors 26
- Cyl 250, Head 1, Sector 1, Num sectors 26
-
-
- The disk has 940 cyl, 8 heads and 26 sectors/track.
-
- Given a list of bad spots in the above format, what is the right way to
- compute the argument to give bad144?
-
- Thanks,
-
