  24. but, what can be done to stop those money-makers from selling something which
  25. ought to be free, and give people who just want to USE it, the chance of
  26. getting/using/modifying/etc. it in whatever way they like ?

  34. in my understanding, if one sells something, what someone else "made", that
  35. someone has a right to get at least some of the money from the one who sold it.

  37. (i don't want money from someone, i just want that when i give something for
  38.  free, that it stays free!)

  40. if the one who "made" something, gave it away for free, then everyone giving
  41. it away has to give it for free.
