  11. I'm considering getting a 4-port serial card of some variety; any
  12. experience/sources/costs appreciated.

  14. What I'd like to start with is something that is DOS COM1/COM2
  15. compatible on 2 ports and something else on the others; I'm not afraid
  16. of writing BSD device drivers.  Sockets (to insert 16550's) are a must;
  17. I don't care if the card comes with the 16550's or not, though.
