  13. I was told to repost this minus one group, since that group does not
  14. do CFP. Why does that whole thing have to be reposted if one reject it?
  15. Such are the questions for the uninformed. Anyway here it goes again.

  17. Due to some technical problems with getting the CFP out to the world the
  18. due date has been extended.  Please get your abstracts in ASAP to assist
  19. the review committee. This is the tenth conference and should be the best
  20. yet.  Just a note to those that think they have a paper to present but
  21. feel that they are not an expert enough to do so.  Submit a abstract.
  22. If the topic is a good one and you know about it then that is all that is
  23. needed.

  41. The Sun User Group is pleased to announce its Tenth Annual Conference 
  42. and Exhibit, which will address the current state of the Sun Operating 
  43. System. Technical papers and presentations concerning both Solaris 
  44. and alternates to it, as well as other topics of interest to the Sun/SPARC 
  45. community, are invited. Manufacturers of computer equipment and software 
  46. based on SPARC/SunOS technology are encouraged to participate with 
  47. conference presentations, as well as in the associated exhibition 
  48. which will be operated by Publications and Communications, Inc.

  52.      Solaris 2.0: What's in it for You
  53.     Solaris 2.0 on Intel
  54.     Other OS for SPARC
  55.     System Administration - beginning and advanced tools
  56.     Printing and Multimedia
  57.     Programming and Development Environments
  58.     Suns in the Office and the Home 
  59.     Realtime and Non-Realtime Development and Research

  62. There will also be a Technical Product track. Vendors are invited 
  63. to describe the compelling technical advantages of their products, 
  64. with references to current and new material. Papers which merely profile 
  65. a company's product are poorly received and therefore have little 
  66. chance of being accepted for presentation.

  69. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
  70.  
  71. Submissions should be in the form of extended abstracts (750 to 1000 
  72. words) and be sufficiently complete to allow the committee to understand 
  73. and evaluate the submission. Abstracts should include:
  74.  
  75.      1. Author name(s), postal and e-mail address(es), and telephone 
  76. number(s).
  77.     2. Title of the paper
  78.     3. Presenter name(s), postal and e-mail address(es), and 
  79. telephone number(s).
  80.     4. Time needed for presentation/questions
  81.         (slots are available in lengths of 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes)
  82.     5. Audio-visual equipment requirements.

  84. There will be a cash award for the best student paper. Be sure to 
  85. indicate WITH YOUR SUBMISSION your student status.
  86.  
  87. Authors whose submissions are accepted will receive instructions for 
  88. the preparation of final papers. All presentations REQUIRE 
  89. a paper submission for inclusion in the conference proceedings.  One 
  90. presenter for each paper accepted will receive free conference registration.
