- I have 4 questions thanks for ANY help with these.
-
- first ( and probably the easyest )
- Have an old Digital VT100, I know how to change the settings on it
- but can not figure out how to save them. It is really frustrating to
- have to reset the baud, etc every time I turn it on.
-
- second
- Have A/UX 3.0 on MacII with local imagewriterII. The printer works fine
- from sys7 programs. I set up lpr and later lp to do UNIX printing, but
- the printer wraps long lines ( >96 chars ) back onto the begining of
- the line. It appears to be getting a carage-return but no line feed.
- I have tried to set lw=96 ( printer width ) in the printcap; didn't help.
- Also there is no deffinition for the imagewriter in the termcap, but there
- are other printers in the termcap. The printer does this with both lp
- and lpr. I used the /usr/spool/lp/ADD_IW script to set up lp.
-
- third
- Have a Best Data products Smart One modem, model 9632XL V.32, that I am
- haveing problems with at 1200 and 2400 baud. The modem works fine at
- 9600. I am using the cable that came with the modem. I have tried
- setting it to V.22 ( i think thats right ) mode but didn't help any.
- It will connect get strange chars and then disconnect. I am mostly using
- Zterm 0.9 with the same settings as my internal 2400 modem ( that works ).
- I need to call work often and only have a 1200 number, my internal is
- not recognised under A/UX (4 year old modem), I would like to get this
- 9600 modem working so I could keep my machine up with A/UX and not have
- to reboot to call work number. I have also tried haveing the modem force
- most signals to high, with same effect.
-
- Fourth and final
- Have a Zenith model ZM-2401 2400baud modem. Got it used with no manual.
- It did not come with a power cord. It has a connector like this on back

- If someone has one of these beasties could you send me some info on the power
- supply and mostly the plug that goes in this jack. I am sure that if I
- just knew what the pin-out for these three pins I could make a power
- supply.
-
- again any help with this will get many thanks.
