- I finally bit the bullet and got a IINT controller board for my
- Laserwriter IISC so I could finally spin up A/UX as the production
- O/S at home. Unfortunately, SCSI support under A/UX for anything but
- disks and now with 3.0, the Apple Scanner (big whoop), has always been
- non-existent. I'm trying to decide what to do with my Voice Navigator
- now :( I have yet to get the live video capabilities of my Colorboard 364
- to work. Like RasterOps is really interested in writing an A/UX driver. :(
-
- Geez, you know, watching how a friend of mine has put his mac on to
- the internet (serially/modem), can do FTP & Telnet w/Versaterm,
- Eudora, NewsWatcher, MacX; I mean he's got the connectivity, and the ability,
- his Mac apps run at "full" speed, no "unsupported hardware" problems...
- Spinning A/UX, at home or at work, starts looking less and less attractive.
- (Someone, quick, extol the virtues of A/UX and help me see the light :)?
