- For about a month now, I've been seeing a new set of manuals from UNIX
- Press (Prentice-Hall) for UNIX SysVr4. They are rather plain, but color
- coded according to function (reference, guide, index, etc.) Additionally,
- there are two versions of each manual, one for Motorola processors,
- and one for Intel.
-
- Now Commodore has been recommending that we purchase the old blue UNIX
- SysVr4 manuals (which we all have come to love and hate) but they seem
- to be geared for an AT&T 3B2 system. Should we now be buying the new
- color-coded manual set? If so, I feel sorry for those who have already
- purchased a full blue-set. As for myself, I am lucky to have only
- purchased the blue System Administrator's Reference Manual and the
- System Administrator's Guide, the latter of which for Motorola processors
- I have yet to see on the shelf in the new set. Does anyone have an idea
- when it will be published?
