- Here here! I've been looking for an opportunity to say the same thing.
- AIX has it's weaknesses, but it has a number of strengths, too, that put
- it above the pack in a few areas. Motif SMIT is a good example, as are the
- very thorough and safe software install/deinstall scripts and controls.
- I've used A/UX on the Mac, SunOS, NeXT, and AT&T 3b2. They've all got various
- forms of digital malaise, and they've all got a few great features. Comments
- such as "*NOTHING* on AIX works 'great'" are great exagerations.

- I love AUX and AIX both -- the former because it mates so cleanly with the
- Mac's native GUI interface without sacrificing anything, and the later because
- IBM has done such a good job of making unix accessible to non-propellerheads.
