  19. When this happens on our HFT's, the only way I know to unhang it
  20. (without rebooting) is to log in to another tty as root, then cat some
  21. junk to /dev/hft/1. The cat will hang for a few minutes, then it will
  22. return, and voila, the hft will be freed... Can anyone explain why
  23. this works? I'd guess it has something to do with forcing a
  24. screen-mode switch at the next timeout period (I'm not sure WHAT times
  25. out)...
