  15.     We have a(n) HP Paintjet XL 300  with a(n) hpgl2 cartridge
  16. connected to our IBM RISC 6000's.  We use the Paintjet to get
  17. color prints of objects created with the CAEDS cad package.
  18. The problem is that the quality of the prints is no where close
  19. to what it should be.  When we talk to the IBM people they tell 
  20. us "HP has to make the proper driver for it", when we talk to 
  21. the HP people we get "IBM should make the driver".
  22.     Presently we are using the xwd command to create screen dumps.
  23. Converting the xwd format to hpgl format with the help of the pbmplus
  24. package, and then send it to the printer.  This makes life hard
  25. on users for they have to change the background color to white, and
  26. by doing this they will not be able to read the numbers off of the
  27. print.

  29.     Can anybody out there help us to get better quality prints?
