  14. aXe 3.0 is now working here. Thanks to those who offered advice.
  15. The guts of the fix for AIX3.2 were:
  16. 1) The 3.1.6 patch was not needed.
  17. 2) Append Axe.ad to my .Xdefaults file and restart mwm.
  18.    (I had assumed there would have been some generic defaults that
  19.    would provide some functionality. Oh well. :-/  )
  20. 3) Compile with the MALLOCTYPE environment variable set to 3.1
  21. 4) Run with MALLOCTYPE set to 3.1.

  23.   At this point there seems to be one bug  and one gotcha:
  24. with the file nominator window, if the cursor enters the filter
  25. input area at all, the whole thing dies, but I can live with that.
  26. Also, the button shapes do not seem to be supported, but they work
  27. just fine all the same.
