- I have a friend who a has recently done an upgrade to aix 3.2.2. He creates a
- new volume group with 2K physical partitions. There are a total of 494 PP's
- available on the drive in that VG. He then tries to create a logical volume
- and he allocates all 494 PP's. Some how the volume group identifier gets
- overwritten and he has to recreate the VG.
-
- Has anyone else seen this behavior?
-
- With aix 3.1.5 you would get a message that there are not enough PP's available
- because it needs to create the jfslog.
-
- Thanks,
-
