  10. Can anyone tell me why it is that the Xstation 120 firmware is not smart
  11. enough to reestablish a connection to the font server after the connection
  12. is lost and a new font is needed?

  14. I am currently booting Release 112591 on Version 1.5 roms.  No previous
  15. release of the server code has reconnected either.

  17. There are a couple of possible explanations to this.  One is that the
  18. network connection is lost due to a "keep alive" feature being active
  19. (which to those know what it does know it should be relabled as
  20. "kill me as soon as you can").  Another possibility is that the server
  21. or the machine the server was running on is rebooted.

  23. I leave the terminal for a while (such as overnight) then return and it
  24. can't find any new fonts.  Then after an immediate reboot it has no trouble
  25. finding any fonts, so I know that the server is up and reachable by that
  26. time so I know it didn't really try to reconnect.
