- Unlike the other respondents, I read this as the user has an authorised need
- to do something that requires root access. If this is correct, and it does not
- involve a command that can spawn a shell, you may wish to look at one of the
- two (that I know of!) pd root access programs: sudo and op. Either of them
- allow the sysadmin to control what commands can be done as root and log what
- is done (the log of course can be erased however). Sudo is availible on
