- No. While depot was built on top of a system using AFS and
- contains some AFS specific speedups, you do not need AFS to make use
- of it. It is true that a software release system built around depot is
- greatly enhanced with AFS (as are most administrative tasks), but that
- doesn't limit it's functionality.
