  13. I am administering a network of three Sparcstation II's.  Disk: .5GB, .5GB, 1.2GB.
  14. I just installed Depot, and the README contained the following lines:

  16. "AFS sites should define USE_FSINFO. Sites without AFS should comment out the 
  17.  starting with AFSLIBS, AFSCFLAGS, AFSOBJ." [sic]

  19. I used archie.mcgill.ca to search for any programs called AFS or afs, and
  20. came up with a lot of nothing that looked like a software package related
  21. to Depot.

  23. There were some files in the distribution called AndrewFileSystem.*, and I
  24. guess it is not a coincidence that this acronym-izes to AFS.  I did an
  25. archie for [Aa]ndrew, and found a bunch of stuff that seems to be related
  26. to X-windows.  Nothing called AndrewFileSystem or anything like that.

  28. In any case, Depot compiled fine when I commented out the AFS lines, but I
  29. haven't used it yet---Do I really need AFS?
