- We are having a problem with one of our dial in lines. When you call
- it up, it tells you that the line is busy. But apparently it is not. There
- is a getty process running, but it seems to be restarting every minute or
- so.
- We don't really have a unix expert here, so we are not sure where to
- begin to look. Any help will be appreciated. Does anyone know what could
- be causing this? Does it look like a hardware or a software problem? We have
- another dial-in line that does work, so the problem is probably not with
- the campus phone service (but maybe it is, what do I know?).
-
- Like I said, any suggestions will be very welcome.
