- Hello! I'm Roberto again.
- I'm interested in the determination of basins of attraction, in
- particular connected to Newton's method.
- I'd like to find some optimized implementation of Hsu's Simple and
- Generalized Cell Mapping and description and/or software for other methods.
-
- About Newton's method and Julia sets, I have some questions for you:
-
- Do you know of some function for which the ORIGINAL
- (not relaxed!) Newton's method exhibits a strange attractor?
-
- Do you know if an indifferent periodic point can be assigned to the Julia
- set or to the Fatou set by only looking at its eigenvalue?
-
- Do you know of any systematic or case study of the application of Newton's
- method to polynomials of degree greater than 3 or to systems of equations?
-
- Thanking you again for your attention ...
- Roberto Carniel
