- In a previous article, olsone@aix02.ecs.rpi.edu (Erik G. Olson) says:

- As a matter of fact, there is a full C compiler that runs on a Geneve (or
- an IBM or an Amiga) that will generate code for either a TI or Geneve...
-
- >and a chore that isn't so viable. Or maybe those people (like, Barry
- >Boone) who have put out products recently don't let that get to them.

- >(What do you think was on Paul Charlton's mind when Lou Philips wanted
- >his brain?)
-
- I have to admit that I did Sound F/X mainly for the fun of it... I am also
- in a position where I have to spend a lot of time in the pursuit of income
- (the days of collecting $800 a month from Archiver donations are long over)
- which by necessity reduces my TI time... I still see the TI as a challenge
- though, and have no plans to dump mine. I also have to admit that getting my
- hands on the source code to MDOS has increased my interest lately.
-
- What has kept me in the TI so long has been the "hobbyist" atmosphere... a much
- different atmosphere than what you find in the IBM world... The TI was also the
- first computer I ever owned, learned to program, and eventually learn assembly
- for... It is also possible with the TI to be the first person to ever do
- something for it... like Sound F/X, etc. I have a few projects for the TI up
- my sleeves... just a matter of finding time... I just wish the TI
- market was still as profitable, not so much for the money as for the fact that
-
- it gives me an excuse to spend more time with the TI and less chasing income
-
- A
- income... oh well, enough rambling :)

-
- It already exists... it is called Turbo Pasc' 99, and was written in Germany.
- You can write a pascal program with it, compile it for syntax (or output) from
- the editor (and if there is an error, it will put the cursor on the error
- back in the editor) then use the linker to make an executable out of it...
- it was a really nice package, just never advertised much (or supported much)
- here in the U.S.
