  14. FastTerm II by Mel Patrick is a good terminal program.  It has scripts,
  15. autoredial, and VT100 emulation, amoung a hundred other things I can't
  16. remember (I got it June 1992 as a gift for my brother).

  18. The VT100 emulator misses a few codes, but I sure Mel could fix that
  19. if it was important enough to someone figure it out which ones--in
  20. testing I ran into minor problems when running the EVE editor on a VAX
  21. (DEC software often uses codes that you won't encounter else where).

  23. It definitely is much better then the 'comm' program that comes with
  24. TRSDOS/LSDOS and has features which aren't in a $150 Mac package
  25. I use at work (mostly features which make a terminal program easier
  26. to use at home with a modem in a standard setup--one is the completely
  27. configurable redial--how long between redials, etc.)

  29. The program is shareware, but I recommend getting it directly from
  30. Mel Patrick for $15--that way you get the laser printed manual which
  31. is very complete and well done at about 24 pages.

  40. Just ask for FastTerm II for the TRS80 Model 4 and send a check for $15
  41. and don't forget to use the correct postage for Canada, it's about
  42. $0.45 now (I had to send a letter to Canada 3 times once because I missed
  43. the finer points in our mail system, like those F stamps have no value).
