- When there is no window system running, the display is managed by the
- boot PROM. The PROM did not support the full ISO 8859-1 font set until
- version 2.6, which is just starting to ship now. (Actually, version 2.5
- supports the full ISO 8859-1 font set, but that version was only shipped
- on SPARCsystem 600MP series machines.)

- There are no provisions for loading another font into the PROM, so there is
- no workaround when running on the raw console.
