- I have a problem where on a Sun, without starting up any windowing
- system, I can't get 8-bit characters to show... I have set LANG to be
- iso_8859_1, and did a stty pass8. The characters show as their 7-bit
- stripped counterpart, and function as 8-bit, thus "÷" (o with 2 dots),
- shows as a v, but does not equal a v. Is this possible a problem with
- the default font? And known work-arounds?
