  14. Howdy.  I have a problem with a 3/60 I bought off the net; I've
  15. tried two motherboards so far, and that doesn't fix it, so I
  16. figure it's something we're doing wrong.

  18. Equipment:
  19. used 3/60, Hitachi 19" color, CG4, got it a week ago
  20. Sun 3 tape drive
  21. 4.1.1 Sun-3 tapes
  22. brand new 425Mb hard drive in tiny shoebox
  23. nice tight cables

  25. Problem:
  26. trying to boot from tape after poweron with the command
  27.   'b st()'
  28. from the monitor gives the following response:
  29.  'device not found'
  30.  
  31. trying to boot from the disk with 'b sd(0,3,0)vmunix' gives the
  32. same response.
  33.  
  34. This has happened with two motherboards now, so it almost has to be
  35. something we're doing.
