- We're moving some of our stuff to a "to be built" computer room.
- Presently we have to calculate the power consumption of our systems to
- be in the room.
-
- In preparing the facts for an RFP for protected power (UPS), a document
- on the subject of computer room specs indicates that this should be
- calculated in a unit called KVA.
-
- Anyone know how to calculate this? From a basic PC we read X watts and
- Y amps max draw, and for our Sun server I have only 1,174 watts maximum
- draw - but no KVA!
-
- Any clues on calculating the KVA would be appreciated.
