- Hi.
-
- I promised someone I'd dash this off before I disappeared into the woods
- for a month, so here goes...
-
- ...our lab has a Sun3/160 (I'm hazy on the "160" part. It's definitely
- higher than 80, and less than 200 :-), that's been sort of sitting around
- next to the RTs, collecting dust. Nobody left in the lab really remembers
- why it's there, but last term we managed to get it networked, much to my
- joy (since I didn't have to use the 1950's timesharing system for email
- anymore...)
-
- At any rate, with really only two users, the Sun is still running out of
- disk space. If we tried to broaden the Sun's use, it seems obvious that
- we're going to run out of resources anytime soon...
-
- A brief perusal of SunWorld didn't shed much light -- most stuff seems
- geared toward Sun4's and Sparcs these days.
-
- So, if anyone can point me to an FAQ I could ftp, or a source I could
- contact, as to looking into upgrade options (hard disc, RAM, etc), I'd
- appreciate it!
-
- (Please email to "roger@trillium.soe.umich.edu" (or this account), as I
- probably won't be able to read news until late September...)
-
- Thanks!
- Roger
