- I'm in the market for an UPS in the 2KVA range. I'll be putting a
- SPARCstation2, a 16" color monitor, and several 1.7GB disks on the
- UPS. I have the summaries from sun-spots (that are a couple of years
- old), a binder of technical and marketing literature from American
- Power Conversion, and I'll be getting a fax from Best Power Technology
- tomorrow morning. I think I've narrowed it down to either the APC
- SMART-UPS 2000 or the Best ME2.1 KVA.
-
- What experiences have people had with these units? Is the Unix
- software that can be purchased for these units useful? What sort of
- features does the software have? What features are missing? Which
- UPS would you recommend? Is there any other supplier I should be
- looking at? (The sun-spots summary really liked Best, and didn't
- mention APC.)
-
- Please respond by email. I'll summary post a summary when the
- responces die down.
-
- Thanks in advance.
