  14. I'm in the market for an UPS in the 2KVA range.  I'll be putting a
  15. SPARCstation2, a 16" color monitor, and several 1.7GB disks on the
  16. UPS.  I have the summaries from sun-spots (that are a couple of years
  17. old), a binder of technical and marketing literature from American
  18. Power Conversion, and I'll be getting a fax from Best Power Technology
  19. tomorrow morning.  I think I've narrowed it down to either the APC
  20. SMART-UPS 2000 or the Best ME2.1 KVA.

  22. What experiences have people had with these units?  Is the Unix
  23. software that can be purchased for these units useful?  What sort of
  24. features does the software have?  What features are missing?  Which
  25. UPS would you recommend?  Is there any other supplier I should be
  26. looking at?  (The sun-spots summary really liked Best, and didn't
  27. mention APC.)
